Taylor & Braithwaite raises £390 for the Great North Air Ambulance

T&B Air AmbulanceAs many of you know we recently held a three-day working demonstration event at Roan Edge Quarry by kind permission of L&W Wilson. The event had various working demonstrations of equipment and visitors also had the opportunity to test drive some of the latest Hyundai machines.

As part of the three-day event we also held an operator’s competition where visitors to the event were timed on how quickly they could operate a Hyundai machine whilst transferring metal rods into cones. In order to take part competitors had to pay a minimum entry fee of £1, which then ourselves and competition sponsors BPH attachments, suppliers of ProDem, tripled the total entry fee costs taking the total raised to £390.

Competition winner Ricky Lucas, from Lucas Plant Hire selected the Great North Air Ambulance as the charity he wanted to donate the money raised from the competition to.

Taylor & Braithwaite’s sales director Ian Burton said ‘We were thrilled with the success of the working demonstration event and we were very impressed with the amount of competition entries we received. It is a great pleasure to donate such a significant amount of money to an incredibly worthy cause that we rely upon so much in Cumbria’.
